PROFILE
\nTeru Noji: Graphic designer, pop contemporary artist, and stop-motion animator.
\nBorn in Tokyo in 1971.
\nGraduated from the Vantan Design Institute’s Fashion Design Department in 1992.
\nGrowing up between Hong Kong and the United States during the 1970s and 80s, due to his father’s work, led him to spend most of his life abroad.
\nObsessed with India in the 1990s, he extended nomadic tendencies to Asia, Latin America, and the African continent.
\nIn 2000, following the birth of his first son with his French partner, he returned from Bali, where he had been living, and founded a graphic design studio in Tokyo.Father of two.
\nSince 2005, he has been based in Arles, in the south of France.
\nThrough solo and group exhibitions across Europe, his practice gradually shifted from graphic design to contemporary art.
\nIn 2022, invited by an old friend, he held his first solo exhibition in Japan, marking his first visit home in eighteen years.
