長崎県出身。美大卒業後、イラストレーターとして勤務する傍ら漫画家として活動する。デビュー作『南国少年パプワくん』の単行本は累計600万部発行。アニメ化され、幅広い世代で国民的な人気を得た。2021年より画家としてデビューし、伝統的なモチーフと、空想世界を自由な色彩でミックスさせた作品を制作している。

Born in Nagasaki. Made her debut as a cartoonist with manga “Nangoku-Shonen Papuwa-Kun,” which has 6 million of circulation that later evolved into animation. She set off into painting since 2021, leading enormous attention of wide-ranging fans. She assimilates traditional motifs of myth and festivals into works by the vibrancy of character and coloring.
