The main feature in photographies of Antoine d’Agata is socially abandoned people, such as criminals, drag addicts and prostitutes. He always tries to have a deep communication with them before he takes photographs, so his works are the outcomes he explored the community of those people. Also he says his desire to look into the deep realm of outlaws leads to the endless questioning of who I am, what qualities define the existence of himself.

He talks about photographer Daido Moriyama, who has similar visuals on the photographs instead of the different approach for the photo-shooting, that Daido Moriyama is one of the photographers he received most influence by the works. He compared his style of photo-shooting with the one of Daido Moriyama, and says he tends to soak himself into the certain society and tries to be infected by the people, unlike Daido Moriyama tries to shoot the gap between himself and the society.
