こちらは、名取洋之助率いる日本工房が発行した機関車の絵本です。日本工房は、国内外の雑誌に写真を提供し発信することを目的として、写真家 木村伊兵衛やデザイナー 原弘を誘って組織されました。発足以来度々メンバーが入れ替わり、本書の出版当時は組織名も「国際報道株式会社」でしたが、亀倉雄策や河野鷹思等が在籍していた時期のものと思われます。モノクロの写真とともにカラーの挿画も楽しい写真集です。なかなかお手にとってご覧いただける機会の少ない貴重な作品ですので、ぜひ店頭でご確認くださいませ。
